I have a strange new succulent in a 4 inch pot that has been puzzling some of my knowledgeable friends! Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Most of the pieces hanging off are like mini versions of the parent plant, except the piece in the last pics which bends right back on itself, the 3rd pic compares a normal piece with the weird one, the last pic is the weird piece. It's definitely Mesemb-like, but there's something familiar about it that is bugging me. It's not an Australian native succulent, is it?

I don't know if it's native or not. Since starting this topic, I have re-potted the plant, and taken off some of the offsets to see if they will sprout roots, as there are no sign of any roots at all, still waiting on a result...
