I have no idea what it is but I had something a bit similar with this A.hintonii. It doesn't look like normal dichotomous division to me. A strange type of mutation maybe?

That is a beautiful speciman has it flowered and were the flowers normal. Would love to get my hands on some seed to graft with and at what age were seedlings before you grafted. Do you think that it is a result of grafting be interesting to see what it does in the future.

Cactuscook ,

The growth in your picture is called dichotomous growth and refers to a single growing tip dividing into two. This is a relatively common occurrence in some species and rare in others I would suggest this would be very rare in a Aztekium Smile

Crypto,

Hmm dunno about yours, probably the same but I dunno. Time will tell Smile
