| WElcome Nice plants
the last one is propably a Haeworthia,
3rd some monstrosa , maybe cereus or echinopsis
2nd Oreocereus, maybe
1 one I am not sure. One of them the left one might be Strotsonia coryne
Again excellent speciments
the ones in the first picture, if you give them root space they will grow surprisingly fast for cacti

| Thank you for identification. I hope they will live long and prosper in my hands even if i messed up their repotting when I didn't clean the roots from the old soil and the pot is (according to what I read here after repotting) completly wrong because it's large, metal, ie. not porous, and doesn't have any hole in the bottom (but I put there a lot of the scoria thingies under the soil) - I'm not sure, if it is better to let it be or stress them twice, but they are just babies (5-6cm high) so there wasn't much of the old soil in the roots anyway (they were in those miniature-sized plastic pots) and I will water them sparingly, so I hope they will be ok until next year... We will see... | |

| I think they will be ok,
oh and they're not really babies. they're pretty hard what you have
removing old soil is more vital for slow growers, spherical cacti
most of yours are not so slow and will probably go fine.
good luck! | |

| Hi Jaga and Welcome Some help with ID of your plants. I think Mutant is on the right track for most of them, this is my thoughts> 1. Pachycereus Pringlei 2. Oreocereus not sure what sub species 3. Cereus Crest + Monstrose, these are very common this is the "mini" version. 4. Succulent | |

| I supposedly have a pringlei and it's totally unlike that - this one has far too long spines for a nursery residing cactus...
I would love to see a better photo of the two in the #1 photo with the extreme spines. With proper light it's pretty easy to tell if it's Stretsonia...

| I'd say - 1. Polaskia Chichipe 2. Oreocereus sp. Probably trolli as it's the most common grown... 3. Cereus (possibly sp. validus) Monstrose 4. Haworthia fasciata | |

| I also am supposed to have it , Polaskia Chichipe, I know it as well... I say propably NOT it. Take a look at the characteristic big areoles. Not trying to sound like an idiot, but I think I win so far | |

| My money is on the first plants being Echinocereus of some kind maybe engelmannii. Not sure of spelling. The flower will give it away but it might take 50 years if HN is right! | |

I say propably NOT it. Take a look at the characteristic big areoles. Mmm... Dunno...but these are seedlings remember, so that wool mightn't persist on mature areoles... - mutant wrote:

Noooo, sorry...You lost points for spelling Haworthia wrong and for not giving possible species names for the Cereus, Oreocereus or Haworthia !! - cryptocarpa wrote:

You could be right, it may possibly an Ech, when I took the trouble to rotate the picture, I think the plants are actually a bit smaller than they appear, so while they may look a bit like a tall columnar Cereoid, they actually mightn't be... We might need another pic in a few months...

| Thank you all for for your help with identification. I can take another photo of the first one - in shadow or in the sunlight (when there is some - I'm not sure which will give better light and truer color (and I'm sorry I didn't rotate the pics - I just didn't know how, cause in my computer the photo has right direction...) The first one has dark color - more like the last one and darker then the second (as far as I can tell) or third. It also has (I think relatively) big those thorn-beds and the longest thorns are almost as long as the whole plant (like 3,5cm thorn : 5cm cactus) one of them has dark brown (pure chocolade) thorns and the second lighter ones (but not as reddish as the hairy one), but I suppose they should be the same thing, they were in one pot when I bought them... I'm not sure if this is any help, cause I don't know what are the significant decision marks and what is just different from plant to plant of the same kind... | |

| Hmmmm
didn't notice they were smaller than I thought
navajoa
I meant won in the supposed Stretsonia.
An additional pic would be fine, a pic after it has grown a bit will propably tell us for sure if it is Stretsonia if some thing more difficult to ID
