Great photos drool

The signature on the placing cards is one of the best growers of cacti etc around. Can't wait to see his collection one day........soon I hope Very Happy

I also see his label and writing on one of the plant tags.

HN were these all competition plants of were some of them exhibition?

T.Tierney must have hired a truck that day - there were a lot of his plants on display

WT I didn't mean Tierney but did notice heaps of cards with that name

Have a look at the signature underneath the exhibitors name Wink

Are you talking about Ian Hay? Well he is el presidente of CSSNSW, he is bound to have an outstanding cactus & succulent collection Wink

Why are the Tierney's exhibiting in an NSW show anyway? They aern't from NSW? scratch Still their plants are excellent to say the least.

Can people from any state enter? I really need to join the society then I can ask them what the parameters for entering the exhibits are. Only thing is I don't think I would be able to make it to the meetings as it's a bit hard getting anywhere from this hole. Bummer!

Hi

Any financial member of the Society can enter plants in the competition / display.

The Tierney's that entered the show are from Sydney. Gary is from Sydney, his brother Terry is from Queensland. They both have some great plants, as well as being good guys.

The were both at the Melbourne Show last Saturday and Terry sold a lot of great plants.

I was fortunate enough to see Ian Hay's collection when i was up in Sydney last year.

He does have an amazing collection. Excellent grower. Not many old plants because he only returned back to Australia just over ten years ago, but he does have a very diverse collection. A lot of plants that I wish were a part of my collection.
