Hi everyone,

Happened upon this bad boy in bunnings of all places just a few days ago.
Nearly fell over when I saw it sitting there with the regular cacti.

I've already got over 100 cacti on the way this week however couldn't pass this guy up.

$13 for a crested cactus - yup i'll take that!

Hoping to take some cuttings from it in the next few weeks and graft to make more.
It has an awesome shape, almost snake like.

Cheers

What a score!!! All we get from bunnings up here are over-watered half dead commoners!!

I was honestly shocked when I saw it, barely ever take notice of the cacti in Bunnings and the like because it's just usually the common cacti.
Definitely a good find.
Someone there decided it would be a good idea to water it from the top luckily it wasn't too bad and with a bit of a fluff up it came good.
Haven't tried tubercle grafting before so it will be a good learning experience and thankfully it's a large plant so a cut or two won't be all that noticeable.
