Is this a Gymnocalycium? Only flowered once in my colleection in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia.

Certainly looks like one. Was the flower stem hairless?

Definitely Gymnocalycium - the naked buds are a key ID feature - no wool/hair/spines on the bud unlike most other cacti flowers. If I had to take a stab, I'd say it's probably something like G. quehlianum.
