Hello everyone. I'm new to cacti & and am looking forward to learning more about these amazing plants here. This is an awesome website/forum btw. Anyhow, as you can tell, I love Lithops (& other Mesembs/succulents too), but I've recently discovered the beauty of cacti & their flowers & am looking forward to learning more about them & acquiring a few more specimens. Very Happy I particularly like the look of the button cacti & the astros so far. The art of grafting sounds fascinating too. Thank you & best wishes! Very Happy

Thanks diddi! I have sowed Lithops seeds before, but with variable results. To be honest, I'm still learning the fine art of propagating Lithops from seeds, trying to get every balance right, & hopefully one day it will be much easier for me. Patience is the key. Atm, I have some self grown plants/seedlings (hooray!) but most of what I own are mature purchased plants. Hopefully, cacti will be easier! Wink

Hiya Lithopsland,
Look forward to being part of you expanding interest in the world of cacti/succulents.
There are some very forgiving cacti and plenty for the more attentive grower and all have their beauty that I'm sure you'll find you'll be wanting more as time passes.
They are also a great tool in the art of patience.
Enjoy.

Hola supergirl,

To be honest, I was not a big fan of cacti & many other succulents other than Lithops about 6 months ago, & here I am now. Will be interesting to see what the future holds. The more I research, the more I'm fascinated by cacti. Patience & space are what I can do with more of.

Thank you. Wink

Hi Lithopsland

Sorry for not saying Hi earlier - I have been obsessng over IXOXI's cactus cube,

I think it is cool that you are into lithops alone. It is good to specialise, you can gain a more in depth understanding that way.

cheers and welcome!

Charlie

Hi Charlie, no worries, not rude at all. Wink Yep, so true what you say about Lithops. The plant world is massive & there's so much to learn, so its kinda good to specialise on just one or a few, although recently, I've welcomed a few different plants, lol. Happy just learning & enjoying plants atm. Smile Thanks!
