Yeah, SnowFella is right....but not with the first guess I think. It hasnt´t got enough ribs for a Fero and the spines are not the right ones as well as the buds. A pic of my F.glaucescens Close up of the buds Here an A.Ornatum ssp (sorry for the bad quality of the pic):

well there is a flower now, so is it a. ornatum? mine has never had any of the silver fleck on the ribs. flower closed and opened for 3 days.

Looking at those flowers they are Astrophytum Flowers and I believe Snah is correct with his ID of A.Ornatum v Glabrescens. Good work Snah I was way off with this one. At first I was thinking Echinocactus or Fero just due to the size but Ornatum does get quite big

3 Gymnos with flowering buds 1. spegazzinii v loricatum, sown seeds on16/11/2003 2. single spine vatteri, sown seeds on 17/09/2004 3. spegazzinii v ornatum, sown seeds on 16/12/2004
